I whisper your name (ayradyss) wrote,
I whisper your name

  • Mood:

open season on interpretations: "ancient"

I came/became a lady -
     - met her gaze perchance -
      held slow and sudden. She
  looked away
                    I know not why.

I took my leisure,
          studied curves
      and angled eyes, slant
   and sloe.

witch - Jezebel -
    virgin/whore.
      Goddess. Her
              full-moon belly whole
   and significant.
           Not mine to claim.

and in her eyes
        Once briefly, I
   thought I saw
      a sullen moon,
              hung low,
 and garlanded with stars.
