Dinner was chicken parmesan and risotto (saffron risotto) and fresh steamed green beans with sauteed mushrooms; my Angel made apple crisp with the last of the apples his mother sent up in paper sacks. It was lovely and delicious. I taught my mother that epicurious.com has lovely recipes, and we showed off Japan pictures and told stories. We gave her the vase we bought for her. Her spider plant that she gave me as a spiderling in a can is huge and lush and threatening to overgrow its pot; she was duly impressed.
This is a nice house. I like this house. It is a good place.
