I have determined, however, that I am the queen of delayed planes. We were late leaving Fort Wayne. Our connection in Cincinnati left on time, and we did indeed make it. Coming back, we were delayed from Jacksonville to Atlanta, requiring a rebooking. So we were rebooked by a sweet Delta agent onto a plane that ought to have left before our arrival at the airport but was now held over until the time our original flight was going to leave. Which then took longer than anticipated getting from landing to jetway due to the presence of another plane in our assigned gate, so we drove around the terminal until we found a free gate. Or at least, that was how the pilot made it sound. Ran through Atlanta terminal to discover that our homebound flight had been delayed about half an hour.
Arrived home at 0130 AM.
Today, I begin my pediatrics rotation. Yesterday, I finished OB-GYN with two deliveries in a row under the military guidance of Dr. D, who let me do a little bit. At least I got my hands dirty. Nursing was more than happy to have me help in pushing. They have been so sweet.
It may be a short day; my assigned preceptor is gone missing on Tuesdays. If so, perhaps I will update you more.
