I whisper your name

It came upon a midnight clear...

World of Warcraft account is borked. I cannot login. My name is in a queue with a handful of others who can't; accounts for review or some such. What does this mean? Means I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Tech Support (who, incidentally, was quite a pleasant gentleman and listened to my explanation instead of taking me through the formula) and most of the afternono reading my trashy romance novel.
I spent the morning out, despite something on the order of 6-8" of snow, because Angel needed the colour printer to work for a present for me. I know what it is, but I'm not going to spoil his surprise by speculating too much. Alas, our Canon S520 was deemed unfixable by the Canon Serviceman, and we instead bought a new Canon i860, which prints phenomenally good pictures.

I got an e-mail from my academic advisor:
Hi!  I got your fabulous grade from $other_residency--congrats!
Did you like the rotation?
Is $other_residency going to be a good option in your residency selection?
And no word at all back from $residency, not even after sending an e-mail yesterday morning to ask if Dr. B was back from vacation and had time to speak with me. My mind is nearly made up. If I like a place, and they love me, what is the point in staying here for a residency that will forever be tainted by self-doubt? It's only a house.

What have I done today? Nothing useful. Nothing useful at all. I will spend tomorrow doing useful things, O Best Beloved, or tonight after we return from a trip to the train station. We shall see.
