In the morning...
Christopher Reeve, 1952-2004.

One more week of OB.  Then on to IM/FP for two weeks.  I hear summary beatings abound.
Paperwork must be completed to change my elective for next month.  I need to find it.
Why does Kai insist on chewing on Xev's head?  It doesn't look like fun to me.
Friday's ennui resolved when I got to nestle up to my Angel and bury myself in roleplay.
I went to the county nature preserve with my Angel and ecchikun and we had a picnic.  Fish like carrots, but they do not do well at eating them.  It was so good to get out.

now feeling:: sleepy half-awake

Sub-Tropical Storm Nicole has been born. Never thought they'd get to your name, did you? ;)

As to fish, I remember one time-- only once, mind you-- that this lake in Iowa was so overstocked they were biting at leaves and bare hooks. We must have come home with a hundred fish that day. Mostly bluegills, some catfish. Great grandpa and mom cleaned them all afternoon and early evening, and great grandma wrapped them in tinfoil and froze them-- well, most of them. I don't think I've ever eaten so many fish in one week!

You'd love some of the spots in Maryland, Cat. The western side, where the small mountains loom, covered with trees. Where wood thrushes and mockingbirds sing-- two birds I didn't hear much of in Indiana. Wood thrushes have this wonderfully bubbly sound. I do miss cardinals and blue jays, though. They have a few here, but I seldom see them. And actually, I've only seen a famous Baltimore Oriole once. I feel jipped.

As to Kai eating Xev, what can I say without showing my immature, overly-sexed mind to full advantage?

So far, just a sub-tropical though? :)

Yeah... apparently developed too far north to be a true tropical storm. Supposed to be swallowed by a larger one off Nova Scotia and retrograde back toward the US, causing winds to rise on the coast. According to the weather channel, anyway. Sorry, probably not a wicked bad one. ;)

How do you pronounce the names of your cats?
ayradyss From: ayradyss Date: October 11th, 2004 05:32 pm (UTC) (etched in stone)
Like the characters in Lexx. One syllable each.
Kai is with a long "i" and Xev is pronounced like "Zev", short E.

Oh obviously, like the characters in Lexx! Dare I ask about the personalities of the characters you named your cats after?

Kai is an undead assassin, and Xev is part love-slave, part cluster lizard.

Wonderful, if that doesn't give your cats fits I don't know what will. So are you going to surgically "enhance" Xev and try to keep Kai as skinny as possible to maintain the look? Or just be satisfied with "really darn cute" for both?
ayradyss From: ayradyss Date: October 12th, 2004 12:35 am (UTC) (etched in stone)
Think we'll stick with them being "really darn cute."

See, if you were a kitten you'd understand the fun in chewing on another kitten's head.
