Weekend Update

Yay for redundancy!
The backstory, for anyone who wants to know, is that on Ansible Moo, in order to go from being a Launchie to being a soldier, you have to complete certain requirements. They're approved by mentor staff. I am mentor staff, but I've also been relaunched, so I have to do all the usual requirement stuff. I've been holding out on the last of three journal entries because I didn't feel like getting out of Launch yet, but now I've decided it's time. Thus, I went looking for someone else to approve my journals, just to make it official.
>>> You tell CzarAlex, "You around?"
>>> CzarAlex nods.
>>> You tell CzarAlex, "Wanna check off my journals for me, to make it official?"
>>> CzarAlex replies, "Certainly. however... I need to run it past a full mentor member before i can check it off :\"
>>> To CzarAlex: Teryn coughs. "I'm a full mentor."
>>> CzarAlex replies, "works for me! :)"
At least I didn't just approve them myself, right? :)

Fiddled around with the S2 style. Found something I liked. It's paid-members only, but the Component style is so much fun. So if you're reading this on your friends' page, go see it and tell me if you like it!

Am skipping church this morning due to excessive phlegm. As in, I can't breathe, I feel icky, and I have this lovely barking cough. Should be feeling better by tomorrow if I take today easy.
Went to see Pirates again yesterday, enjoyed much despite being unable to breathe.

Have begun to worry about my Lily overmuch. She said she would be back sometime yesterday. Jefe said they left from Mo about 1-ish, after stopping for sleep. I have yet to hear a peep from her. *frets*
You'd think by now I'd be used to her invariable lateness. You'd think. But I still worry and wonder and keep compulsively checking to see if there's been word from her. Not quite as bad as Angel - but still quite a bit. It's a long way to Texas and back. And there's far too much to worry about this time.

I go back to school today. At least it's only three rotations; I can come home Tuesday after 12:30. And then I need to call the good doctors D and D to see about starting up there on Wednesday. Must remember to call Mike this evening and ensure I have a place to stay.

piccolopixie's tickets have been reserved, after much fussing with Expedia. Watching the temporary charges on my card quite carefully, as there is $18 in service fees and temporary authorisations that came from me trying unsuccessfully to use the single-use account numbers. If they tick up to recent activity, I'll call and whine.
Roleplayers: I will plan on running that Friday night, so as to get you all started on the fairly large and expansive final dungeon I have in mind. We can stat up characters for anyone extra who happens to be here; I'll work them in. It looks like the Chicago people won't be in until Quite Late.

Am, on that note, getting quite excited about the arrival of one Quinby, and her subsequent establishment in a place where people think she matters. Am also glad that Angel will have someone to keep him company in my absence, as we have not yet settled the kitten subject.

And now, it being 10 AM, I'm going to try and get a little more rest. I will eventually post role-playing quotes, O Best Beloved, and tomorrow will be spent in a diagnostic clinic and the Emergency Room of a well-known Indiana Children's Hospital. Expect something interesting will happen.

Attention Quinby and Company:

From's news today: What to do when your parents report you missing: Let them call the police :)
I love what the sheriff's office said:
"She said she was 19 and was going to do whatever she wanted to," Camille said. "We just told them to call their parents."
Whether they return to their families "is up to them," she said. "No crime has been committed. We cannot tell them to go back home. They are adults. It's really up to them."

So much for a short drive down here.

Got up, and didn't feel like hacking my way through church. Couldn't sleep either, lying down made my nose stuff up more. Hence the long hours fiddling with the S2 system as explained several spammy posts ago.

Went to the pharmacy and picked up my meds, then came home. Ordered Chinese in. My Lily finally got home, and she ate some Chinese too, before all of us wound up semi-drowsing around the family room; myself most of all. Around about 5, after directing Angel, sleepily, to pack my bags for me (I love this man) and load the car (You're taking my car. You really don't feel good, do you? he says) I headed down for Indy.
We live between mile 112 and 114 of I-69, more or less. Around about mile 70 it dawned on me that I'd left my White Coat in Fort Wayne. Called home. Finally found a place to turn around around exit 64, and met Angel and Lily at exit 86. While waiting for them to arrive, I cleaned out Angel's car, finding a hairbrush we thought we'd left at church. Also threw away a half-dozen half-empty bottles of water. Also finally sent my graduation tassel to my car, rather than Angel's.
White coat in hand - or at least back seat - I made it to LC and Aura's without further mishap. I am still coughing like mad, They found my pager while I was gone. I left a towel here, after thinking that I hadn't, but didn't bring pillow or sheets. I hope Mike has sheets. I hope Mike calls me back; I left a message on his cell.
Am I becoming one of those compulsive people who freaks out when things aren't perfectly planned? It feels like it sometimes. Maybe I need to take a deep breath, sit back and quit worrying about where I'm going to sleep or what I'm going to do. Never thought I'd accuse myself of being overly anal-retentive.

Sitting up in bed like some kind of COPD patient who needs three pillows to be able to breathe. Have determined that leaning forward lessens the cough; nasal spray for the nose keeps me breathing through it - although my mucous membranes are stinging wicked much. Gladly, I have not repeated the mistake of getting nasal spray into the further recesses of my nasopharynx, where it will proceed to burn with every now-drier breath until I resort to sitting in a bathroom with the shower on full hot. This last being what prompted me to shave my legs the other night.
Am I sick? O, I am, Best Beloved, but not sick enough to avoid going to the ER tomorrow. It figures. They say everyone gets sick on Peds rotations. I e-mailed regrets to the girl running the AMA-MSS meeting and she told me she sympathised, having just got off of Peds. I am not just sick to get out of the meeting, although I welcomed spending the time with Angel, I am quite fed up with this whole being-ill thing and ready to go back to being healthy and drinking ice water because I want to, not because it keeps me from hacking.
Do you hear that, Powers that Be? I'm done being sick now.

Edit: While I'm thinking about it: Welcome to mama0807, lorriejharris, and waifofthenorth, who are all recent additions. Sorry for the spam :)
